Problem
This article goes over how to reset DraftSight to default settings. This is useful when encountering problems in DraftSight with customization not working correctly or other unexplained issues, which may indicate profile corruption.
Solution
Here are the steps for reverting to default settings:
- Close DraftSight
- Open Windows Explorer and browse to:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DraftSight\<version number> -
Right-click on the Profiles folder and choose "Rename" and append -OLD to change the entry to Profiles-OLD
- Restart DraftSight and check if the issue still occurs
- If renaming the Profiles folder did not fix the issue, browse to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming and rename the DraftSight folder similar to the steps above
- Restart DraftSight to retest the issue
