How To Fully Embed an Image into a DraftSight File – Hawk Ridge Systems Support

This article goes over how to embed an image into a DraftSight Drawing without having an external reference to the image file.

Please follow the steps here to allow the image to not have an external reference.

Edit the image in Microsoft Paint
In Microsoft Paint, select the image using CTRL+A on the keyboard.
Once the image is all selected, Copy the image use CTRL+C. This places the image on the clip board correctly.
Open the DraftSight Drawing
Select Insert menu>Paste>Paste Selected
Choose the Device Independent Bitmap and OK
Select and drag a window with the mouse cursor for placement and size of the image.
