How to print in Black and White in DraftSight

Problem

This article goes over how to set the DraftSight default Print Style to Monochrome so it prints in Black & White.

Solution

  1. Open DraftSight
  2. Select the DS icon in the far upper left corner to show the File menu, choose Options, or type “options” into the command line

Click the DS button and then click Options
  3. Go to System Options > Printing > Default Settings
  4. Change the Default type dropdown to "Use color-dependent print styles"
  5. Change the Default PrintStyle dropdown to "Monochrome.ctb" and hit "OK"

Open printstyle settings and change the dropdowns.
  6. The default print style is now Monochrome when going to print a file
