When renewing 3DEXPERIENCE Licenses, Dassault Systèmes will send an email that is similar to the email received when purchasing 3DEXPERIENCE licenses for the first time. This can lead to confusion, as some aspects of that email are misleading or not relevant for renewals.
After renewing licenses, using the "Launch your 3DEXPERIENCE platform" button seen in the email will result in an error, "Ticket has already been consumed". This is expected because that button is the platform initialization link, which only needs to be used once to activate the platform. For renewals, this button, as well as the associated steps to sign the CLOSA, are not necessary, as if the platform is in use, it has already been activated. Users should be able to simply continue accessing the platform without any additional steps.
Another point of confusion is the wording in the email - "Your new Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform". This may imply that renewed licenses will be on a new tenant, and data on the previous tenant may be inaccessible. This is not the case - renewed licenses should be on the same tenant, so there will be no issues accessing data after the renewal. There is not a new 3DEXPERIENCE platform for renewals.
When renewing 3DEXPERIENCE licenses, the new licenses should be automatically applied to the same platform. To confirm the renewal was successful, administrators can check the expiration date of roles in the Members Control Center to confirm they have been updated.
