Displaying Envelope Components in Drawings

Envelope is a fun tool for visual aid and referencing when modeling. Envelope components are removed from the bill of materials and any mass property calculations, but can be inserted to understand spacing and clearance within the model.

That said, when creating a drawing, since the envelope components are considered references, they are not included in the view by default:

Even though they are reference components, you may want to show the envelope component in the drawing. To do so, enter the view properties by right clicking anywhere in the view and selecting "Properties":

Then select the radio button for "Show Envelope":

Once completed, you will have a reference view of the envelope components:

You can adjust the color options at the system level if you want solid lines. If you have any further questions regarding this topic, please contact Hawk Ridge Systems technical support at 877.266.4469 (US) or 866.587.6803 (Canada) or email us at support@hawkridgesys.com
