This article goes over which CustomTools Installer is needed and the System Requirements.

Solution

CustomTools Basic and Professional use the same installer package. Select the 32 or 64-bit version based on your OS. The Basic and Professional features are enabled based on the activation, in the same manner as SOLIDWORKS.

Note: CustomTools 2015 is the last major version of CustomTools to support 32-bit operating systems, in line with SOLIDWORKS OS policy.

Supported Operating Systems for CustomTools 2022 - 2025:

• Microsoft Windows 11
• Microsoft Windows 10

Supported SOLIDWORKS versions for CustomTools 2022 - 2025:

• 2025 is supported with SOLIDWORKS 2022 - 2025
• 2024 is supported with SOLIDWORKS 2021 - 2024
• 2023 is supported with SOLIDWORKS 2020 - 2023
• 2022 is supported with SOLIDWORKS 2019 - 2022

Supported Operating Systems for CustomTools 2013-2015:

• Microsoft Windows Vista SP2
• Microsoft Windows 7 SP1
• Microsoft Windows 8
• Microsoft Windows 8.1

The CustomTools version does NOT directly correlate with the SOLIDWORKS version. CustomTools 2015 is supported in SOLIDWORKS 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. CustomTools 2013 is supported in SOLIDWORKS 2012, 2013, and 2014.
