Problem

This article goes over how to bring the CustomTools login screen back. When the "Remember me" option is checked, the Username and Password are stored in the client computer's registry under the current user's settings.  They must be cleared in order to bring the login screen back.

Solution

When going into the Registry Editor, do not modify or delete anything except what is listed below. If you do not feel comfortable performing the steps listed below, please contact Technical Support.

1. Close all applications, including SOLIDWORKS
2. Open Windows Search, search for REGEDIT, and then hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

3. Navigate to the folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATR Soft\CustomTools\2015\Databases\<DB server name>\<database name>\.  "DB server name" will be the SQL Server name, and "database name" will be the CustomTools database name.
4. At a minimum, clear the value for the "Last Logged Hash" key. This is the password in an encrypted format.
5. Optional: Clear the "Last Logged User" value so that the username is not pre-populated.
6. Close the Registry Editor
7. Attempt to open CustomTools again
