How to Reset the CustomTools Command Manager

Problem

The CustomTools menu tab will display in SOLIDWORKS, but there are no icons visible. Resetting the Command Manager may be necessary after a SOLIDWORKS upgrade or reinstallation. The CustomTools Add-in for SolidWorks will be enabled under the Tools>Add-ins menu.

Solution

Use the following steps to reset the CustomTools Command Manager menu in SOLIDWORKS.

  1. Open SOLIDWORKS and log in to CustomTools.
  2. Navigate to Tools > CustomTools > Options > User Options > General menu.

  3. Press the 'Reset Command Manager' button under the 'User Options' Menu tab.

4. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'User Options' window.
5. Close SOLIDWORKS and CustomTools.
6. Open SOLIDWORKS, and log back into CustomTools.
