Problem
There may be a situation where the CustomTools license server needs to be migrated to a new machine. Prior to moving the license server, the existing license must be transferred. If the license is not transferred prior to moving the license server, then an activation error will occur.
Solution
Use the following instructions to transfer the existing license for CustomTools and activate it on the new server.
- On the source system, open the CustomTools Administration Console.
- Select the wrench icon to open the Manage ATR Soft Licenses menu.

Select the 'Transfer License' option, then click the 'Next' button
- There will be a summary screen indicating the license transfer is complete.
- Open the CustomTools License Menu again as indicated in Step 1.

Select the 'Activate License' radio button and then click the 'Next' button.
- Choose the CustomTools Product that needs to be activated and click the 'Next' button.

There will be a Product Activation summary screen and click 'Finish' button.
