Problem
This article describes how to fix the issue of a missing options window in SOLIDWORKS. A common issue users run into is when a SOLIDWORKS window does not appear. For example, open a drawing file, right-click on a sheet in the FeatureManager tree, and select Properties. The Sheet Properties window should appear as shown below.
If a dual monitor was initially being used, then the monitor was disconnected. The window may still be located on the disconnected monitor.
Solution 1: Keyboard Keys
Repeat the workflow in SOLIDWORKS that is supposed to bring up the missing window
Press Alt+Spacebar on the keyboard
Now press M on the keyboard, press the Left arrow key on the keyboard, and then move the mouse to move the window back to the active screen.
Solution 2: Modify the SOLIDWORKS Registry
If Solution 1 did not resolve the issue, try the following registry modifications in order:
- Resetting SOLIDWORKS Dialog Box Positions – Hawk Ridge Systems
- Clearing your User Registry Settings – Hawk Ridge Systems
