Troubleshooting MyProducts Error: Product List is Restricted to Administrators

Problem

This article goes over how to troubleshoot the MyProducts Error "Product List is Restricted to Administrators". For information on gaining access to MyProducts, review this article: How to Access SOLIDWORKS Subscription Service Benefits and create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID – Hawk Ridge Systems

Solution 1: Clear Internet Browser Cache

If the Security Administrator is granted and MyProducts does not allow access, the first thing to try is to clear the Internet Browser Cache (Browsing history data that contains Website Cookies). The exact steps vary between browsers, but a good test is to utilize a private or incognito browser window and log in there to see if that demonstrates any different behavior. If MyProducts works better in a private or incognito browser window, then clear the Internet Browser Cache and reopen the Internet Browser to retest the issue.

Solution 2: Toggle Two-Factor Authentication

In other instances, we have seen that toggling (disabling and re-enabling) the Two-Factor Authentication for the 3DExperience account can help resolve this problem.

  1. Access the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and go to "My Profile"

    Accessing My Profile
  2. Select "Preferences" on the top right of the window and click "Manage" next to "2 Factor Authentication"
  3. Click "Deactivate" to deactivate 2FA
    Deactivate 2FA
  4. Enter the 2FA Code and click "Validate"
  5. Click "Log out" to log out of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
  6. Reactivate 2FA by following the steps here: How to Enable Two Factor Authentication for 3DExperience – Hawk Ridge Systems
  7. Attempt to access MyProducts again
