What are SOLIDWORKS Drawing FeatureManager Design Tree Icons?

Solution

Below is a list that covers different aspects of the Drawing FeatureManager Design Tree.

  • A plus Plus Icon icon to the left of an item’s icon indicates that it contains associated items, such as sketches. Click the plus Plus Icon icon to expand the item and display its contents. To collapse all expanded items at once, press Shift+C or right-click the document name at the top of the tree and select Collapse Items.
  • Drawing views that are Updating will show a sheet wth rebuild icon Updating View
  • A Drawing Sheet has the sheet icon Drawing Sheet Icon
  • A Drawing View has the part sheet icon Drawing View Icon
  • A Projected View has the two view icon Project View Icon
  • A Section View has the two arrow cut line icon Section View Icon
  • A Detail View has the arc with an A icon Detail View Icon
  • A Relative View has the part with arrows on a sheet icon Relative View Icon
  • A view with a Break View shows the break on sheet icon Break View Icon
  • A view that is Cropped shows a crop icon on a sheet icon Cropped View Icon
  • An Alternate Position has a two-view icon in the expanded feature tree
