Exporting SQL Databases

The database holds the metadata associated with the files in your vault. Additionally, they contain the settings configured through the Administration tool.  In many cases, Hawk Ridge Systems or DS SOLIDWORKS will request a database backup when an issue is believed to be vault-specific - in other words, if we are unable to reproduce the issue on our end using a test-vault.   The SQL Management Studio will allow you to create that backup by exporting the SQL Database; directions may be found in the article linked below.

Exporting Archives

This type of collection is typically performed in more advanced troubleshooting situations, when the issue either affects a particular file-set, or cannot be replicated without their presence.
