Problem
This article goes over the SOLIDWORKS CAM NC Editor error "Invalid or missing key argument given". This error occurs when attempting to run the SOLIDWORKS CAM NC Editor outside of the software by clicking on solidworkscamnceditor.exe located in C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS CAM\NCEditor.
Solution
This error is shown because we cannot run the software from Windows Explorer. The SOLIDWORKS CAM NC Editor is designed to be run only from within the SOLIDWORKS software interface. After running a Post Process, click on "Open G-Code file in SOLIDWORKS CAM NC Editor" to open the G-Code in the SOLIDWORKS CAM NC Editor.
