SOLIDWORKS Visualize provides powerful rendering capabilities. For each seat of SOLIDWORKS Professional or Premium with active subscription, a complimentary Visualize Standard license is included. If the license type for SOLIDWORKS is network, Visualize will be included in the license pool. If the license type is standalone, there is a separate Visualize Standard serial number that you need to input into the installation manager. This article goes over how to find the Visualize Standard serial number besides contacting your SOLIDWORKS reseller.
Steps
- You would first need to make sure you have a 3DEXPERIENCE account and the account is assigned with the role of Security Administrator.
- Go to https://myproducts.solidworks.com/ to see the full list of the products your company has purchased.
- On the top right-hand corner of the list, use the search bar to filter the products to only show Visualize Standard.
- The Serial Number column provides the licenses that you can enter for your Visualize installation. If you are unsure if the serial number has already been activated on another machine, click on the Product Name associated with the serial number.
- If the serial number is activated on a machine, you can see its name (System Name in System Information) under "Active Machines".
- On the occasion that you need to free the license, please find the machine with the name and follow the procedure here, specifically selecting Visualize: Transferring/Deactivating a SOLIDWORKS Standalone License Between Computers – Hawk Ridge Systems
Note: For users who only have Visualize installed on their machines, they can also open up Visualize and go to Help > Deactivate License... to deactivate the license following the prompts.
