This article goes over how to download and install eDrawings Viewer. This is the free version of eDrawings that anyone can download and install.

Downloading eDrawings Viewer

The latest version of eDrawings Viewer can be downloaded with the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Free Download section of the SOLIDWORKS Website or open the eDrawings Viewer Website

2. On the SOLIDWORKS Website, click the Blue Arrow next to eDrawings Viewer

   

3. On the eDrawings Viewer Website, click the Blue Arrows below eDrawings Viewer depending on your Operating System

   

4. Accept the License Terms and start the download

Installation

Follow the steps below to install eDrawings Viewer:

1. Close all programs
2. Double-click the eDrawings Exe file that was downloaded

3. If prompted to install C++ Prerequisites used to run the Installation Manager, click "Install"

   

4. Click "Yes" or "No" to the Restart prompt, depending on whether you want to restart now or later after the installation
5. Double-click the eDrawings Exe file that was downloaded again to open the eDrawings Installation Manager

6. On the "Welcome Page", click "Next"

   

7. On the "Registration Page", do not enter anything, and click "Next"

   

8. Click "Install" to start the installation
9. When the installation is finished, click "Finish"
10. Launch eDrawings
11. Accept the Software License Agreement
12. Fill out the eDrawings Registration form to receive a Verification Code to use eDrawings Viewer. Note: If you do not receive an email with the code, make sure it is not in Spam or Junk.

13. Enter the Verification Code and click "Verify"

    

14. Launch eDrawings again now that the Verification Code has been entered, and it will launch normally
