Problem

This article goes over how to resolve the error "Some of the Features or Operations are not supported..." when accessing the CAMWorks License Info Menu.

The following cases can trigger the error message window above:

1. CAMWorks was recently installed on a client computer.
2. A new Windows user profile was created on a computer that has CAMWorks.
3. A major Windows update occurred on a computer that has CAMWorks.
4. An end user manually changed the License Info settings, and they no longer match the needs of the part/assembly file.
5. Other users are using the modules and reducing the count to zero.

Note: For case #5, the only resolution is to communicate with the other end users and have one of them release a module they are in possession of. A client machine in need of a module can not forcibly release a module from another client machine.

Solution 1: How to Access the Menu in SOLIDWORKS

1. Within SOLIDWORKS, select Help > CAMWorks 20XX > License Info at the top right

   

2. With the CAMWorks License Info menu open, we can now select the needed modules. The "Start Up" column allows users to adjust which modules are selected automatically when the CAMWorks add-in loads. The "Module" column is where users can manually enable or disable modules in the current session.
3. Once the changes are made, select the "Update Licenses" button, and then select "OK" to close the menu.

Solution 2: How to Access the Menu in CAMWorks Solids

1. Within CAMWorks Solids, select Help > CAMWorks 20XX > License Info at the top right
