Problem
This article goes through the steps to find where the original installation source location is. Running a repair or upgrading service packs without the installation files in their original installation location can cause errors.
Solution
- Navigate to the Control Panel
- Set Control Panel to use Large Icons at the top right corner
-
Use Programs and Features to access a list of applications installed
-
In the Programs and Features list, right-click anywhere on the column header and select "More"
-
Under the Details box, check the box for "Source" from the list and click "OK"
- The "Source" column will be added
-
To see where SOLIDWORKS installed from, scroll to the SOLIDWORKS applications and look for the path listed in the Source column
For additional support, existing customers can submit a ticket or new customers can contact Hawk Ridge Systems.
