How to Resolve Weldment Cut List Balloons showing Zero or Asterisk in a Drawing

Problem

This article goes over how to resolve Drawing Views referencing a Weldment Cut List Table displaying "Zero" or an "Asterisk" for Balloons. This is caused by a Weldment Cut List that is not grouped into Cut List Folders.

Cut List View showing Zero for Balloons

Solution

  1. Open the Part file with Weldments being referenced by the Drawing View
  2. Expand the Cut List to check if they are not grouped into Cut List item folders

  3. Select each one to create Cut List items manually, or right-click the Cut List to select "Create Cut List automatically" and rebuild the part

select "Create Cut List automatically" and rebuild the part
  4. Switch back to the Drawing to see if the Weldment Cut List table has updated. If it has not, switch back to the part to edit one of the Structural Member features to simply click the Green Checkmark

    Click the green checkmark
  5. The Cut List should now show correctly in the Drawing. With the Cut List updated, the Balloons should be fixed
