Parting Line Analysis Tool Grayed Out

Problem

This article goes over how to resolve the Parting Line Analysis tool being grayed out while all the other mold tools are available. This is caused by the SOLIDWORKS Performance option for software OpenGL being enabled.

Parting Line Grayed Out

Solution

  1. Open SOLIDWORKS without opening any files
  2. Navigate to Tools > Options > System Options > Performance

  3. Uncheck "Use Software OpenGL" and click "OK"

    Uncheck OpenGL and click OK
  4. Restart SOLIDWORKS to retest the issue
