One way to send someone an assembly without the internal components is to save the assembly as a part of the exterior faces only. However, it sometimes does not save all the surfaces, causing the saved part to have holes in it. This happens because of a limitation of the current algorithm for collecting faces.
The workaround to this is to create a SpeedPak configuration of the assembly. Then save the SpeedPak to a part with exterior faces.
When creating the SpeedPak, be sure to select the faces or bodies that you want to save. Under the “Quick Include” section, you can select “Exterior bodies only.” The “Quick Include” button will automatically select all of the faces that fit the parameters.
You can then save the SpeedPak configuration of the assembly as a part with exterior faces only.
