Can SOLIDWORKS Export Part Files to DAE for COLLADA?

Problem

Does SOLIDWORKS have the ability to export a part file to .DAE for COLLADA?

Solution

SOLIDWORKS does not have the ability to export Part files to .DAE for COLLADA. The closest file type that SOLIDWORKS can export is .STL. Another program will need to be used to convert a .STL or other file types SOLIDWORKS can export to a .DAE file for COLLADA. We have heard of some customers in the past using Blender to convert an STL to DAE, but we cannot verify if this works.
