Creating a Broken-out Section of a pictorial view

This article describes the process of creating a broken-out section view of a pictorial (Isometric, trimetric, dimetric) view.

Broken-out section views are used to remove a portion of the model in a drawing view to expose the inside. When creating a broken-out section view of a pictorial (isometric, trimetric, dimetric) view, the depth that is used is normal to the sheet. An edge in the pictorial view can not be used unless it is parallel to the viewing plane in the pictorial projection.

If you do not have an edge that can be used as a depth reference, you can begin increasing the depth until the Broken-out Section view is created.
