Problem

This article goes over how to disable or enable Toolbox folders/Parts by modifying them using the Toolbox Settings application.  For more information on other Toolbox topics, review this article: Comprehensive Toolbox Guide

Solution

We can disable Folders or Parts within the Toolbox so that they do not appear in the task pane for use, or re-enable them if they were disabled. This is done by modifying the Toolbox using the steps below:

  1. In Windows Search, type "Toolbox Settings" to bring up Toolbox Settings 20XX and open it

    Open Toolbox Settings
  2. Once the toolbox is open, select "Customize your hardware" to modify Toolbox Standards or "Hole Wizard" to modify Hole Wizard Standards

Modify Toolbox or Hole Wizard Standards
  3. Navigate to the Folder or Part to modify
  4. To disable a Folder or Part, uncheck the box, and to enable it, check the box as shown below
