How to enable Hardware Acceleration for eDrawings

Problem

This article goes over how to enable Hardware Acceleration for eDrawings so eDrawings gets the most performance out of the Graphics Card.

Solution

  1. Open eDrawings
  2. Click on Options (Gear Icon)
  3. Uncheck "Use software OpenGL" (known as "Graphics Boost" in older versions) and click "OK"

Uncheck Use software OpenGL and click OK
  4. Restart eDrawings

With OpenGL turned off, eDrawings has hardware acceleration through the dedicated Graphics Card enabled. With OpenGL turned on, there is only graphics rendering through software, which bypasses the Graphics Card which results in slower performance. Turning this option on is generally intended for troubleshooting purposes and for Computers that do not have a dedicated Graphics Card.
