Problem
This article describes several icons you will see in a SOLIDWORKS Task Pane and Vault View for both PDM Standard and Professional. These icons show the current status of your active SOLIDWORKS file in relation to the latest version of the file in the vault.
Solution
The image below goes over the common PDM Icons and their meaning.
The example image below shows a checked-out Assembly in a SOLIDWORKS Task Pane. The Equal icon indicates to us that the locally cached version of the assembly is the same version as the latest vaulted version. The Pink icon indicates to us that the locally cached version of the part is older than the vaulted copy.
The example image below shows some SOLIDWORKS Parts in a PDM Vault View. The Question icon indicates that the file is not added to the Vault. The Green icon indicates that the locally cached version of the part is newer than the vaulted copy.
