Problem
This article goes over how to resolve the SOLIDWORKS Toolbox crash that displays the following error message when loading the Toolbox add-in: "You appear to have experienced problems the last time you loaded the C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWOKRS\\Toolbox\\SwBrowser.dll add-in".
Clicking "Yes" will cause SOLIDWORKS to crash, and clicking "No" will allow SOLIDWORKS to continue working, but the toolbox will not load.
Solution
- Close SOLIDWORKS
- Open Windows File Explorer
- Navigate to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS 20XX\Toolbox\data
- Delete the 'tb_default.sldedb' file
- Launch SOLIDWORKS to retest the issue
