How To Log Out Of PDM Vault View?

Problem

This article outlines two ways of logging out of PDM Vault View and to verify the name of the logged-in user.

Solution 1: From Windows Explorer

Starting with SOLIDWORKS PDM 2020, we can now log out of the Vault View from within Windows Explorer. Hovering over the "Blue Person" Icon  Man_icon.png  shows the logged-in user.

To log out of the Vault View from Windows Explorer:

  1. Click the "Blue Person" Icon Man_icon.png
  2. Click "Log Out"

Solution 2: From System Tray

  1. Navigate to the System Tray in the Windows Taskbar
  2. Right-click the PDM icon and select "Log Off" for the desired vault(s). Note: This will also show the logged-in user when logging off from a vault.
