This article covers steps to resolve showing or hiding the Task Pane which shows the tabs on the user interface display area on SOLIDWORKS for SOLIDWORKS Resources, Design Library, File Explorer, View Palette, Appearances, Scenes, and Decals, and Custom Properties. A reference image to this is shown below.
- Try first by right-clicking on the menu bar or command manager at the top of the SOLIDWORKS display area and selecting to turn on the Task Pane. If this does not work, then go to step 2.
- Right-click on the menu bar or command manager again at the top of the SOLIDWORKS display area, but this time select Customize -> Toolbars -> Reset To Defaults and confirm by selecting Yes. If this step does not work, then try step 3.
3. The following link shows steps that are also a good solution for instances where the user interface is not working properly. It generally takes about 2-5 minutes to complete.
