Accessing a DS Graphics eBook via the Desktop Safeguard Viewer App

This article will cover the process for downloading a DS Graphics eBook PDC file and opening it in the LockLizard Safeguard Viewer application. 

1. Check your email for subject line “Your SOLIDWORKS - eBook Only Online Training Manual is now available” from swebooks@dsgraphics.com.
   • This may get flagged by spam-blockers and you may need to work with your IT department to allow it to pass through.
   • If you do not see this email, email us at training@hawkridgesys.com and we will retrigger the email.
     
     
2. Next, install the viewer. Find and click on your appropriate operating system in the email as shown below:
   
3. A new window will open.  Click the “Download” button under product:
   
   
   
4. Open the download file to begin installation.  Follow prompts to install:
   
   
   
5. Once installed, you may close the window.  Return to the email from swebooks@dsgraphics.com from Step 1 and click the “License” link as shown below. Once registered, you will receive the message shown in the second image below:
   
   
   
6. Click OK to close window. Return to the email from swebooks@dsgraphics.com once more, and click on the eBook name under the Documents section:
   
7. This will download the eBook – this may be automatic, or you may need to open the downloaded file manually.  Once opened, the viewer will pop up as shown below:
