When experiencing problems in SOLIDWORKS, you may find many errors named "nview" in the Windows Event Logs, under Application. Common nview errors include SOLIDWORKS crashing and hanging, or even installation issues. Typically, SOLIDWORKS safe modes do not prevent nview errors from occurring

What is RTX Desktop Manager/nview?

How to Uninstall RTX Desktop Manager
These steps are from Clean Install of NVIDIA Display Driver – Hawk Ridge Systems Support and adjusted to remove the RTX Desktop Manager. To find the best NVIDIA graphics driver for your system, please reference Hardware Certification | SOLIDWORKS.
- Close down all programs on your computer.
- Run the downloaded exe file with administrator rights.
- Follow the prompts in the installer until you get to the Installation options screen and select Custom (advanced) and click Next.
- Disable RTX Desktop Manager and select Perform a clean installation, then click Next to begin the installation.
The installation will now proceed. Your monitor may go black and the resolution may change a few times during the installation. - Restart your computer to complete the process.
