Problem
When encountering issues in SOLIDWORKS, you may observe numerous errors labeled "nview" within the Windows Event Logs under the Application category. Common nview errors include SOLIDWORKS crashes, freezes, or installation problems. Generally, SOLIDWORKS safe modes do not prevent the occurrence of nview errors. This article goes over several solutions to try to resolve the nView errors.
NVIDIA nView, which is now known as RTX Desktop Manager, is a tool used for customizing the Windows Workspace. It is installed automatically with NVIDIA Graphics Drivers.
