Eureka License File Options

This document expresses the types of licensing available for the Eureka Machine Simulation application.

  1. The Standard License we issue is a non-floating USB Sentinel Dongle, that will
usually ship the same day if ordered by noon. Please add the overnight shipping
cost of $60 to the order. The license file is locked to the Sentinel dongle. The
customer doesn’t need a network connection. A temporary License file is issued
that will expire to ensure customer payment.

  2. The option to have a Floating Network License is an additional 15% of the
    modules purchased (excluding machine definitions):
    1. License File – License is locked to the IP address for the computer where
the Eureka License Server software is installed. A temporary License file is
issued that will expire to ensure customer payment. The Customer’s
computer that the License Server is installed on will need continuous
internet access. If internet access is interrupted, our server will continue to
try to connect every hour. After 30 days without a connection, the license
will be blocked, and we need to reactivate the license from our side.
    2. USB Sentinel Dongle – In a rare situation, if a Floating License is desired,
but they are not able to have a continuous network connection with the
computer housing the Eureka License Server, a USB Sentinel Dongle can be
issued, where they can access the floating License from any computer on
their Network shared with the Eureka Server Computer with the USB
Sentinel Dongle. As with all Licenses, A temporary License file is issued that
will expire to ensure customer payment.
    3. While it may seem obvious, some customers may not realize that to have
more than one simultaneous user via a floating license, they will need to
purchase one seat of Eureka for each simultaneous user. Volume
discounts are available on a case-by-case basis.

  3. For NFR Licenses (trial, or staff), all we need is the Volume ID of the computer to
issue a license that will generally expire at the end of the current year or next year
if issued later in the year.
