How to Change SOLIDWORKS Icon Colors

With the release of SOLIDWORKS 2016 Service Pack 3, a new "classic" color scheme option has been added to the software. This particular setting changes the color of many often used icons to match previous major releases. The following article walks through the steps necessary to enable this option.

1. With or without a file open, open the "Options" menu. This can be done by navigating to Tools > Options, or by clicking the "Options" icon, as shown below

2. In the System Options tab, click on the "Colors" item.

3. In the new "Icon color" drop down menu, select "Classic". Once this has been set, click on "OK" to confirm the change.

Once this change has been made, you should see results similar to the illustration below.
