Creating an Isometric Section View in a Drawing

Problem 

This article shows how to create an isometric section view in a drawing. Isometric section views are not directly available in the drawing view palette.

Solution

  1. Insert a Parent View from the View Palette into the drawing
    Insert Parent View from View Palette
  2. Create a 2D Section View from this View with the desired Section Cutting Line
    Create 2D Setion View with desirec Cutting Line

  3. Right-click on the Section view and select "isometric section view"

    select isometric section view from right click options
  4. Move the view around as desired to place it
