Displaying Center Of Mass

Problem

This article goes over how to display the Center of Mass in a part, assembly, or drawing.

Solution

  1. In a Part or Assembly, navigate to the Evaluate tab and click on Mass Properties, or go to Tools > Evaluate > Mass Properties Click Mass Properties in the Evaluate tab
  2. In the window that comes up, enable the checkbox for "Create Center of Mass feature" and close the window

  1. The center of mass will need to be shown by going to View > Hide/Show > Center of Mass
Enable View > Hide/Show > Center of Mass
  1. The center of mass will appear in the part as shown below

  1. To show the Center of Mass in a Drawing, right-click the Center of Mass feature in the drawing feature tree to select Show 
Right click Center of Mass feature and select show
