This article goes over the steps to download and install desktop SIMULIA products (Abaqus, CST, XFlow). For the full installation guides, please see the attached PDFs below.

Downloading Installation Files

To download the files, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the following link: https://software.3ds.com/
2. Select "SIMULIA" at the top and then select the SIMULIA product to be installed.
3. Be sure to select the release year that you are looking for.  
4. For "Level", select the "Golden" option.
5. Click on the download icon. Note: Some of the installation file sets may have multiple downloads, and there may be a separate file set depending on the OS that it will be installed on.

7. Extract the files, and if there are multiple files to download, extract them to the same folder location so that the folder's contents are combined. The resulting folder structure should be a common installation folder with multiple numbered folders in it, similar to the image below.

Installation

The installation can be started by running the installation executable in the top-level folder (or the "1" folder if there are multiple folders). The installation manager will guide you through the process to install both the server and the client software.

Note: When specifying the license server type during installation, please verify that the license server type matches the license file type that was issued.

If you are installing the DSLS License Server for DSLS Licensing, review the attached PDF "DSLS-installation-and-configuration-guide" to install it. Start on page 6 to install it. page 31 to start/configure the Server, and page 70 to configure client machines to point to the Server.
