Important Update to the SOLIDWORKS xDesign Offer

On July 7^th, 2025, Dassault Systemes is changing one of the products they offer. SOLIDWORKS xDesign, previously known as the SOLIDWORKS Cloud Offer, has caused some confusion with customers, as it does not include SOLIDWORKS itself, but instead includes multiple roles and apps to design with on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform in a browser. 

To simplify the offer, they are replacing the multiple roles included with the SOLIDWORKS Cloud Package with one role, SOLIDWORKS xDesign, which will include all apps from the original cloud package as well as the xMold app from the 3D Mold Creator role. This will allow SOLIDWORKS xDesign users to access all of their design tools in one place.

As a reminder, all apps from the SOLIDWORKS Cloud Package will be included in the single SOLIDWORKS xDesign role, so no functionality will be lost - only gained, with the addition of the xMold app.

Renewals or purchases of SOLIDWORKS xDesign on or after July 7th, 2025 will be for the new SOLIDWORKS xDesign offer instead of the SOLIDWORKS Cloud Package. As a result, the existing individual design roles from the Cloud Package will expire. The new SOLIDWORKS xDesign role will need to be granted by a 3DEXPERIENCE platform administrator to allow users to continue working without interruption. The 3DSwymer and Collaborative Industry Innovator licenses should be maintained by users during this transition.
