We’ve had several reports of email messages generated from the SOLIDWORKS online licensing system about attempts to register serial numbers.

Dear Admin,
A user with email address <email address> has attempted to use one of your serial numbers <serial number> to join your account. As the administrator, you control membership and product assignment in your account. Individuals cannot self-register in an administered account.
You can invite this user to join your account in the SOLIDWORKS Admin Portal and then assign the products to the user.

The SOLIDWORKS security team are investigating the root cause. Please be assured that the registration attempts were unsuccessful.
