Reference Files in Drawing That Are Not Used in Any Drawing View

Occasionally, we see referenced files included in a drawing even though these referenced files are not used in any drawing view. 

When a model view is placed in a drawing, the drawing creates a file reference to the model. When this model view is deleted, the file reference is still retained in the view palette.

We can clear an unused references by going to the View Palette tab in the task pane and clicking the red X to clear all view Palette information.
