This article provides information on the prerequisite components that are installed with SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2016. The selection of prerequisites will depend on the configuration (standalone, client or server) in which SWE is installed.
The SWE client installation only includes the SWE application, as the collaborative server, SQL server and data directory are installed on the SWE server. The SWE standalone installation includes both the SWE client and server components on the same system, so the perquisites here the combination of all of those for the SWE client and SWE server. The following table outlines the prerequisites installed for each configuration type. Screenshots are also given below of the prerequisites showing in Programs & Features after the given installation on a clean Windows 7 OS.
