This article will describe the steps necessary to resolve the delay that sometimes occurs in freeing a network license once the user closes SOLIDWORKS.
Please note, the steps outlines below must be performed on the server. Also, ensure that user has administrative rights to the server.
Before proceeding with the fix, notify all users to save their work and close SOLIDWORKS as the service will be temporarily disturbed.
1. Click on Start.
2. In the Windows search bar, type "Services."
3. Click on services.
4. In the services window navigate to "SolidNetWork License Manager."
5. Right Click and select Stop.
6. Right click again and select Start.
