You may stumble upon a time when you are unable to add a center mark. You may also see the message “Center marks can only be created on arcs and circles.”
In these cases, check to see if the holes are normal to the plane of the drawing view.
There are a few ways to test this. One option is to open the assembly or part file in question. Select the face where the hole is placed then right-click and select the “Normal to” icon.
Switch over to the drawing file and insert a drawing view using the current view orientation. Now when we add a center mark, it should be successful.
In order for a center mark to be added, the holes must be normal to the plane of the drawing view.
