Adding Revision Symbols in a Drawing in SOLIDWORKS

There are several ways to add a Revision Symbol into a drawing in SOLIDWORKS.

The Revision Symbols is available from the Annotation Toolbar on the Command Manager for easy access.

It is also available under Insert>Annotations>Revision Symbol

You may notice that the Revision Symbol is grayed out when first attempting to insert. Revision Symbol becomes active only after creating a revision table and adding a revision row.

Do the following:

  1. Insert a revision table. (Insert>Tables>Revision Table)
  2. Right mouse button on a column ->Revisions->Add Revisions. Now the Revision Symbol becomes active.
