Cut/Extrude Text

In SolidWorks it's very easy to create Cut/Extruded text on a curved or flat face of your part:

  1. With your completed solid model, open a sketch and draw a reference curve/line to outline the length/position of the text you need.
  2. Insert the sketch text (Tools, Sketch Entities, Text) and place the text onto the reference geometry you just created.
  3. Create your Cut/Extrude on the solid.
