Welcome to Hawk Ridge Systems Quick Start. This page contains information on SOLIDWORKS 2018 standalone installations.
This guide is for a first time, or new installation of SOLIDWORKS 2018 with a standalone license type.
2. Installing SOLIDWORKS 2018 as a standalone, (single computer) installation.
SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD modeling software is a licensed product, and must be used in accordance with the SOLIDWORKS End User License Agreement, or EULA, accessible here: http://www.solidworks.com/sw/eula_en.htm.
1.SOLIDWORKS software: Our recommendation is to download the SOLIDWORKS installation file set from www.solidworks.com.
If you received a SOLIDWORKS DVD media kit for the year version 2018, then move to step 2. Note: keep the DVD, you will need it for each service pack installation later in the year version.
If you need to download the SOLIDWORKS software, please follow the instructions provided in the link below.
2.Installing SOLIDWORKS 2018: Now you can start the installation with the serial number provided in the license confirmation email from Hawk Ridge Systems, by following the steps outlined in this guide.

3.Activating your license: Once SOLIDWORKS has finished the installation, please click on the new SOLIDWORKS 2018 icon and open your new software. The first time it opens, it will ask you to activate the license. You can do this over the internet by following the prompts given.
4.Technical support options: Now that you have installed SOLIDWORKS 2018, you may have questions regarding the usage, installation, or licensing of your SOLIDWORKS 2018 that our technical support staff could assist you with. This support is available to current subscription holders.
