STEP 01: Accepting the software agreement
AKA the CLOSA
Once your order has been received by DS/SOLIDWORKS you will receive an email from
“ECO-OrderAdmin@3ds.com” titled “Customer Consent to DS Offering Terms”.
The email should look like this:
By selecting the link in item #1, a web page will pop-up with your software agreement.
That software agreement will look like this:
At the very bottom of the page is a link that must be selected.
Agreement: CLOSA (Indirect) - USA & Canada - V12.1.1
This link will bring up the terms, the page must be scrolled all the way to the bottom and then in the lower right corner of the page will be a “CLOSE” button. Selecting this button will bring you back to the software agreement. This step must be made to proceed forward.
Once the terms are closed and you are directed back to the software agreement, a new button will appear towards the bottom left of the agreement.
This button should say “I Agree” or “I Accept”. By selecting it you have successfully accepted the CLOSA.
Immediately you will receive a follow up email acknowledging you have accepted the terms and will be provided a link to the terms and conditions if you every wish to review them later.
STEP 02: Initiating your tenant via the link
Approximately 30 minutes later you receive an email from DS/SOLIDWORKS that contains your unique platform link. This link is unique to your company and the person who selects this link will be granted the platform administrator and will automatically be assigned the foundational roles. The administrator will be a user on your platform.
The email will come from “DoNotReply.ag.license-keys@3ds.com” and will look like this.
Once the OTT link is clicked it will automatically activate your 3DEXPERIENCE tenant and will open a webpage, bookmark this webpage, it is your tenant access.
The user interface of 3DEXPERIENCE is comprised of two elements, apps and dashboards. The big blue compass on the left is to access your apps and the dashboards icon on the right (three horizontal lines) is to access your dashboards. Dashboards are used to easily access your apps later and for administrative management.
The compass is used to display all the apps you currently have assigned to your user. This guide will cover installing 3DEXPEREINCE SOLIDWORKS and Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS.
